Player progression for Madden blows. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next patch or maybe already.

Just started my NCAA 09 dynasty. I play with Marshall on All-American and just won my Week 2 game against Wisconsin 2-0. The Badgers only had about 130 yards of offense, and given that they scored 50-something in real life, that strikes me as pretty unbelievable.

I rented Super Mario Sluggers baseball Friday.

I played it for a half hour.

I returned it and demanded to be given a new rental.

Guitar Hero World Tour can't come out for the Wii soon enough.

Whaddya mean, drek? Oh, you just don't like the whole genre? I'm getting it because it actually has downloadable content, as opposed to Rock Band for the Wii which was no better than the PS2 version. I decided to wait for this one months ago, and have barely touched a Guitar Hero/Rock Band game in doing so.

I was referring to the Mario Baseball game, Gomer.

I'm a big fan of the Guitar Hero series.

Oh, right. Of course. Yeah, I don't know why I bothered. BTW, TopSpin3 for the Wii only lets you play right-handed. I'm a tennis junkie and was waiting for something to take my love of the WiiSports tennis to the next level, but this one falls short. Only worth a rental, only if you really love tennis.

I absolutely cannot move the ball in NCAA 09. I played a game against Southern Miss and my QB was 4-17 passing, and my receivers dropped nine passes. Plus, I was sacked about 8 times.

My top RB is averaging less than 2 yards per carry so far. I'm averaging around 130 yards of offense.

Yet my defense is allowing less than 5 yards rushing per game and has thrown three shutouts in four games. I had 14 sacks against Memphis using the quick jump with my defensive end and regular blitzing.

Something tells me the fine folks at EA Sports somehow overloaded the defense in this game, and it's not fun. I may go back to playing 03.

    Adjust the sliders.

There's actually been more complaints about not being able to stop the offense, like QBs ALWAYS complete a pass on third down, etc. etc.

I'll have to look into the sliders. And while CPU QBs do seem to regularly complete third-down passes, when they gain 15 yards on 3rd and 24 after two sacks it doesn't much matter. At least that's been my experience.

I finished my first season with Washington and went 13-0 and won a NC, shows you how real the game is. I actually went a whole season allowing 22 rushing yards per game, mainly because I had 72 sacks.

My pass d is awful and with 3 freshmen and a soph in my defensive backfield It might get even worse. On a side note, Locker is amazing, his speed is insane.

I've had problems stopping the CPU offense, but I think it's due mainly to my own dumbassery
