I think it's more an EA thing and not just a Madden or NCAA thing.

There were tons of problems with NCAA and EA had to send out two patches.

Maybe they try to rush these things out too fast. I mean, they are out almost two months before the season begins.

People are still going to buy it whenever it comes out, so wait another month and get it right and have happier customers.

It's easily an EA thing. I had to get a 125 MB patch for The Orange Box on PS3. Wasted a whole night I could have been playing while that thing downloaded, and I still can't play Team Fortress 2 because of the EA servers.

Oh I hear ya. My roommate got it so whatever. We do a fantasy draft with teams from the same division. We train the hell out of our teams and sim regular season games until we play (twice a year, unless we meet in the playoffs). It's a great way to get players to progress and work on tendencies of certain players.

I don't see how you can play as DE unless your great at switching over to the closest player as the play happens (getting burned on pass plays). I mean, as FS, you see the whole field and can come up on the run and have time to go across the field on passes. And if you want, switch to the closest player on runs without getting burned.

I always use the RE. Especially on NCAA with the jump the snap count feature.

been playing NCAA to the point that I went 2 straight seasons where I controlled the left CB the entire season. Had 26 INTs with him, but got burned often on pass and run plays to the opposite side of the field. Definitely a challenge.

Bingo. Jump the snap count is fun, but makes for terribly unrealistic sack totals. I mean, I've got a better than 50-50 chance of sacking the CPU QB on any pass play, and the only way the CPU can run is if it's away from my side of the line.

Seems like a better way to do it would be that maybe 1 out of 5 times you jump the snap it works and you flatten the O-lineman in front of you, but otherwise all you get is a good push maybe with the O-lineman still standing and blocking at least.

I always line up as RLB or LLB and blitz the hell out of people.

I broke the sack record with some 250 sacks with a guy from North Carolina.

Still haven't been able to come close to it because all my LBs since have gone pro early.

Only game I've had real problems with is Assassin's Creed and I'm assuming because the game is so freaking large in scale.

I'll be getting my PS3 on the network soon and I'd be glad to have you punk me out at Resistance. BTW, if you think Part 1 was great, wait til Part 2 ... 8)

Hello all. This may have already been asked, but I don't feel like waddling my fat ass through all these pages.

Which PS3 do I need to get so it also plays PS1 and 2 games?

    Thanks for all your help.

Cookies and warm milk for all.

Such a thing no longer exists, Granny. They phased that out over the past year or so.

If you can find a slightly older PS3, such as one with a 60 GB hard drive, you're in luck. The Wikipedia page for the PS3 breaks it down quite nicely if you need more detail.

Thanks Gomer. My other plan was to pick up another PS2 (for cheap) and dump the rest on a PS3.

Actually, my PS3, which I picked up in January, is an 80 gig and it's backwards compatible. But, Gomer's right, they did away with all BC recenlty.
