Trey, I've always preferred NCAA over Madden. That probably goes with me preferring college football over the boring NFL.

Just the number of teams makes it worth it, I think. I mean, 100-some teams in NCAA vs. 30 in Madden.

I like the idea of polls, recruiting and all the rest.

If I got Madden, I know what would happen. I'd be the Steelers, play a couple seasons in franchise mode and get bored real fast.

Question for players of NCAA 09 (for PS2, if that makes a difference): How in God's name do you high-step?

Yea, same here, especially with recruiting. In past games, recruiting used to be just in the offseason. I couldn't wait to end the season and start recruiting. It's not as much fun doing recruiting and playing the games each week, but it's still fun.

It's kinda like a role playing game for sports people.

I don't know. It used to be R1 and L1 together. Have you tried that?

It should be the circle button, least that's what I'm sure it is for the PS3. Then again haven't played my 09 in about a week.

Don't know about PS2 or 3. But you can make a head over heels dive into the end zone by pressing X and one of the triggers at the same time. You have to do it just right, otherwise, you just dive straight forward.

Yeah, that's what it use to be. In fact, any combo of R1,R2,L1,L2 would be a different high-step. But it's not that on 09. I've done it and it jukes me outta bounds. Pretty sure it's not circle button, that's spin.

I think, and I was looking for backup here, it's L2 and the right analog stick but I dont know what direction to pull the stick for high-stepping. I know L2 and UP on the stick is a lower your shoulder, protect the ball move.

    Dear EA Sports,

If you're going to say the release date for FIFA 09 is Oct. 14, could you please make sure the game is, actually, in stores on that date? And if the plan was to have the game in stores on Oct. 15 all along, why not adjust the release date accordingly?

    Disgruntled,
    Inky

NHL '09 ... you can't go wrong with this hockey game. You cannot go wrong. The new puck and checking physics puts it way over the top. As my old housemate used to say, "This game just gets inside you, man!"
