Tiger '08 is a good game, although some of the controls piss me off. The putting, for example, can be quite twitchy. You pull back slowly to up the power, and for some reason it taps it like you were knocking in a 2-footer. Or you go into putt preview, set everything just right, hit your real putt exactly right -- and it trails off to the left by three feet. That's happened to me a number of times.

I gave up on Tiger (06, maybe?) after renting it and getting pissed at the controls. The Wii sports golf game is a lot of fun, but my scorecard on Tiger would be something like 9 9 8 11 3 1 9 2 or something ridiculous like that, with quadruple-bogeys followed by eagles. So I quit trying and haven't bothered since.

Rusty, I bought the first Tiger game for the Wii and the only part that gives me trouble after learning it is the putting. I routinely shoot 18-under.

It also helps to max out your stats in the career mode.

OK, so I got to play some World Tour last night.

    Few things to point out

    1) Get ready for the hand cramp session that is Stranglehold (even on medium it's a bitch)
    2) Ozzy singing La Bamba is worth the price of the entire band setup
    3) Graphics are awesome and the crowd sings along with you
    4) Get the full-band setup. It's so much fun playing with other people.
    5) Group sing-a-longs with favorite songs are spontaneous and awesome (See Hotel California, I think we woke up their neighbors)
    6) Cliff Burton is still a god. I found it funny that the girl couldn't do Cliff's bass line on easy on Trapped Under Ice. I'd hate to see it on expert.

Tiger 05 was the best version IMO. Tiger 09 is pretty damn fun as well. But I agree with the putting. You have to have it just right or as someone above said, you'll just tap it sometimes.

Played both and I think Rock Band 2 is slightly ahead of GH: World Tour at this point. Both are amazing games though, with 80+ mastered tracks and many more that you can d/l online. Must-buy for fans of the genre/music buffs.

Bought and have played LittleBigPlanet for the last day and a half, quite possibly the best game of the year. It's smart, cute and challenging. You also get to do all the creation stuff that they marched out there, and it's all the hype and more. I have yet to create a level, I'm so sucked into the story.
For those with PS3s, BUY THIS GAME. If you have a daughter or wife, BUY THIS GAME. If you want to just have a little fun with a few minutes of your time, BUY THIS GAME.

How does Fable II compare to the first one? Played it on XBox and felt it left a lot to be desired. It was fun, but there just wasn't enough hours of gameplay in it.

(On a sidenote. I'm playing Sega CD roms right now. WOOT VAY!)

I never played the first one, but I love this one. Other friends have made the same comment about the first one being short. Apparently this one will take you about 10 hours to do just the main mission & 30 hours to go out & explore and complete all the side missions.

I'm an achievement whore, so I'll be doing whatever I can to get all 1000 points. :p

That's probably better than the last one, but 10 hours still seems short for the main mission. Not that I'm spending $$$ on video games until I get "employed" again.

A word of caution about the ending. I've heard it's a WTF moment.

Just got NBA 2K9 and was astounded to see that there is no Oklahoma City team. They still have the Sonics on the game. Talk about fail!
