After I posted and re-read Euro 2008 I was. At first no. I missed TigerVols reboot post. Does that mean SportsJournalists.com went without a Wimbledon thread from 09-13?

    Been an interesting day already.
Kerber needs seven match points before she finally takes out Sharapova, and Serena exits her doubles match after, during warmups, she appeared unable to hit the ball at times or even catch the ball. She looked she was completely out of it, and even broke down in the chair during a medical timeout.

So much for my future as a tennis analyst.

Eugenie Bouchard is named after the daughter of Prince Andrew? Man does that make me feel old. A Wimbledon player named after someone born after Boris Becker won, who was the first Wimbledon champ younger than me.

Here's the Serena video from DailyMotion. It was originally on the Wimbledon YouTube channel, but has been removed.

They are officially calling it a "viral illness."

Nadal on the ropes, down 2 sets to 1 against Kyrgios.

    1. I hope its nothing too serious, she looked disoriented.
    2. She looked wasted

And Kyrgios gets it done. Serves 37 aces and wins in four sets over Nadal.

What injury excuse does Nadal have this tournament?

Now that it appears it's not a brain tumor or anything, I can post this in good conscience. This is the first thing I thought of when I watched the Serena video:

Wow. Didn't see that coming. But good news (potentially) for Roger Federer, who was in Nadal's half of the draw opposite Djokovic and Murray.

37 aces? Against Nadal? That deserves a wow.
