Except, Limbaugh has a job and private benefits and thus this, unlike most of the policies of Obama and the rest of the politicians currently in Washington, didn't cost taxpayers a dime.

So maybe he did fake it after all for publicity and ratings and ad dollars.

Does he really deserve/has he really earned the benefit of the doubt?

If you hate the NRA, you hate the Constitution.

See, I can do that, too.

Yeah, but you live in a godless communist state--sorta like Canada without the benefits. :)

That would be correct if the NRA supported people being prepared to form a well-regulated militia. Their support for firearms goes well beyond that.

Don't you like how it has treaded into lock territory AFTER Rush was declared fine and dandy?

Much like many of the battles the ACLU tries to fight.

Zealots are zealots and come in all shapes, sizes, colors and from both sides of the aisle.

The amendments regarding free speech are not as narrowly drawn as those for firearms. And as far as abridgement of religion, the government and its entities supporting one religion can surely chill other religious worship.

Seems like mostly pleasant, level-headed conversation. Why would it be locked?

And that is a long-winded bullshit way of saying "yes, you are right, the ACLU's ridiculous interpretations of the constitution, which I agree with, to suit their cause are no different than the NRA's, which I don't agree with, so instead of just admitting the ACLU and NRA are cut from the same cloth of self-serving zealotry I'll try and bullshit my way out of it."
