And let's not forget the famous " I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. "

But those aren't racist comments. He was trying to be funny AND provocative.

Should we move on to homophobic comments?

I tend not to appreciate Hitler & Nazi comparisons.

I know this has been discussed here before. But...

Even if you disagree with the statement, I don't see anything racist about it. It's a comment about the media. It says nothing about the talent, or anything else of any black athlete.

We get it, YF. You're a dittohead. Nothing wrong with that...

Don't worry, I'm going to go to my liberal church this weekend and pray that Rush have a speedy recovery so he can continue to be the public face of conservatism... :D

Neither does most of the sentient population but your guy used it regularly

    You're defending the indefensible.

What's next, saying Marge Scott's "Hitler went too far" comments were misunderstood?

I'm not defending him, but I'm curious. What do you mean he doesn't have a shtick? That's his whole deal. I thought shtick basically meant "gimmick." Limbaugh doesn't have a gimmick?

I don't have any problem with political differences. I expect them. And I don't choose my friends based on their political beliefs.

I just don't understand why some have to attack people on the other side.

    Bush is "dumb" or "evil".

    Rush is a "racist".

It's always this kind of shit. I can disagree with all kinds of people without having to believe they're evil or racist.

A shtick is usually applied to comedians.

If you position yourself as a political commentator then pull "it's just a shtick" out of your ass when you're called on the carpet for blatantly offensive comments, it's beyond disingenuous.
