Ryan Adams: HOF?

Strangers Almanac is a tremendous disc. Gold is great, but borderline bloated with too many songs. Never really connected with Heartbreaker. He lost me after Demolition. Probably need to go back and listen to some of his stuff again.

Started reading this book over the weekend--pretty great so far.

Adams, Old 97s, Bottle Rockets and many others are coming to my town in late summer or early fall for a music and BBQ festival. I'm going to have to make a weekend of it.

Of the three I mentioned, I've seen the Bottle Rockets probably four or five times. The last time was in a record store the morning after a show, and they were absolutely dragging ass after staying up past 3 a.m. drinking Jack Daniels. At least, that was their excuse.

 

Would love to see those shows.
