That J-S blog post is a template for MLB apologists by implying stimulant use really isn't that bad compared to PEDs. The J-S is a house organ of the Brewers, in case there are a few who didn't know.

The spokesman also said that "Ryan's complete innocence ..."

Maybe he took something that he thought was legal, and that caused the positive test?

That wouldn't get him off under MLB rules.

I'm amazed that Braun has a camp capable of objectively testing a sample.

    ?? Not at all.

I think you are conflating some part of the following, which are all part of my PED platform

    1) HGH has never been proven to have an impact on athletic performance
    2) PEDs don't bother me. They are a major part of all high-level athletics, and essentially inevitable.
    3) Now that we've reached an era where relatively safe PEDs have been discovered, there's little reason to ban them.
    4) The effects of PEDs are often misunderstood by fans who are just looking for bodybuilders with 50-HR power.
    5) The home run explosion of the 1990s and early 2000s possibly (probably?) had alternative explanations than PEDs.
    6) PED use has been going on for much longer than the HR boost, and many beloved players of the past were probably using.

If he is completely innocent, it's obvious you won't believe it anyway.

That's a load of crap. Haudricourt has taken more than his share of heat from Doug Melvin over the years for various stories he's done.

If he's completely innocent, he'll come up with something better than "I tested clean a month later."

That's your proof? Do better. (And Garry Howard no longer works there).
