Which doesn't mean the test was faulty.

The fans I've talked to are ready to burn his jersey if the allegations are true.

I'd like to think it's not true as well but history has shown that when these stories break they tend to be true.

And even if he didn't test positive MLB is going to have a massive PR nightmare on its hands because there will always be the assumption that he was cleared because he played for the commissioner's team.

Maybe Floyd Landis could advise Braun on beating doping allegations.

I've yet to read all of this, but it must be noted:

It is delicious this involves the Brewers. It gets no better.

Let's face it. Ryan Braun is on The Stuff, as my dad calls it.

The intractable opinions on either side of the issue are silly. The original ESPN report is being contradicted now that he tested positive for a stimulant, not a PED, so what the hell is going on here? I guess it's another brief to be filed in the court of public opinion, but the truth is that none of really know the truth at this point.

I'm Switzerland on this until there's a better explanation and that won't come until January. If Braun is guilty, he deserves whatever scorn he gets. If he's not, it's a shame that his reputation is ruined regardless.

Not sure if this has been posted, but this is some good analysis:

My understanding is a PED is anything that will artificially enhance your performance, there for things like stimulants fall under the PED banner. PEDs go beyond just Steroids.

It's been a long time since I've been in a MLB clubhouse, but I don't recall ever seeing a ballplayer that ripped...it's not like you get a six-pack as a side-effect of playing baseball at an elite level (like you do in tennis).

Is it defacto proof he juiced? Of course not. But it makes it easier to think that he did.
