Has Cornwall defended any athlete who had a good reputation?

If I were accused of murder and I was innocent I would still hire Johnny Cochran (the alive version). If I were accused to taking drugs and was innocent I would hire David Cornwell. Dirtbag or not they're very good at what they do. My innocence isn't going to lead me to hire a nicer, shittier attorney.

It depends if you are really innocent or just looking to beat the charges despite being guilty.

This "second test" he took, was it an MLB test, or did he just hire someone to test him?

I feel as though either way I'm going with the attorney who has the best shot at beating the charges. If I were facing jail time my concern wouldn't be hiring the attorney with the most integrity.

Did he even take a second test?

If I were guilty and had no scruples (shut up, oop :) ) and wanted to beat it with a PR campaign and a technicality, I'd demand to take a second test if I knew that there was no mechanism for that in the testing rules.

That's what I would like to know. The story says he "immediately demanded a second test" which implies it's not someone he hired, but if he did, well you can pretty much throw that out the window.

Unless the second test was within minutes of the first test, maybe hours if we're being generous, you can throw it out.

Brewers forge ahead, signing Aramis Ramirez to 3-year deal. May not matter without Braun for 50 games.

Notice how he said "ingested"? Which um, leaves open other avenues for the PED to enter his system.

I'm not a huge, huge, huge Ramirez fan, but that's still a big upgrade from what they had at 3b last year. They might not miss a beat without Fielder at this point.
