Although I am not a Braun fan, if there was a taint in the chain of custody of Braun's sample, that means there is a chance that the urine sample tested was not his or was tampered with. The arbitrator ruled that MLB failed to authenticate the sample in accordance with the terms of the CBA, therefore by definition the authenticity of the sample is insufficient to support a claim against Braun.

Except that there was never any question it was Braun's sample. That was never in dispute. It was also never in dispute that the sample was still sealed when it arrived at the lab.

The only question was how long it took to get the sample to the lab. Braun's lawyer's took advantage of MLB writing shitty protocols to get their boy off the hook. He's a cheat who got lucky.

So, again, either Braun took a banned substance or there was a massive international conspiracy to frame him for some unknown reason.

You also have to wonder why he felt it necessary to ask a PED peddler running a shady clinic in Miami to help him with his defense. How did he even know that guy?

Kind of figured his name would come up, since he's a former Miami player.

    Here's the ambiguous graph ...

"The report also noted that there were no drug notations next to Braun’s name, as there were in documents that emerged last week in Miami New Times."

Again, you are trusting information from MLB, which failed miserably to protect the privacy it promised Braun and other players. You are assuming facts you don't have (no surprise there) and treating "more likely" as if it was the same thing as "proven fact."

And he explained why they used the guy. You just don't like any reason that isn't the admission of guilt you so desperately crave.

Ryan Braun probably used something at some point, I'll probably never know for certain, but watching you glob knob all over him is pathetic and funny. Your disdain for your rival's best player is something most people grow out of around age 12. You criticize him for coming out with that statement yet we all know you would criticize him for waiting too long if he took a day or two to do it.

This whole Miami clinic thing sounds shoddy to me. What's to stop any random trainer/doctor from scribbling names on some papers and saying "Oh yeah, I gave all these guys steroids." Doesn't seem to be any hard evidence against anybody, but maybe that will surface in the coming days and weeks.

There's little doubt in my mind that MLB is hell-bent on suspending Ryan Braun if only to give credence to its own testing policy and compensate for their failed handling of Braun's case.

    Agreed.

Fans are numb to this. At this point, they don't care.

I don't agree with that way of thinking, but I think it's the way a huge majority of fans feel.

Even as a Brewer fan I assume Braun did PEDs at some point...he went to Miami...he did PEDs. But if his story is true it should be pretty easy to prove. Fucking lawyers bill everything. They should have plenty of records showing that they used Bosch as a consultant.

So many players are still angry that Ryan Braun's suspension was overturned last year. Tough to find a guy in the league who is surprised.

I didn't know she was a Cubs fan.

And apparently a lot of players are too.

    Speaking only for myself:

Philosophically, I still care. I've mostly accepted that it's a waste of my time and energy, though.

Funny how she doesn't name anybody. Nor has any player actually come out and said anything. She just tosses that out there and you both immediately assume it's true.

As usual, you have no standards whatsoever when it comes to PED-related accusations.

I never said it was only Cubs fans that do it, either, but neither of you really cares about having your facts straight when you make an accusation. I said that being a whiny Cubs fan is the motivation by some of the unsupported PED accusations that get tossed around on this site. A_QB being the worst offender.
