Hard to complain about 3-1 after the first morning, but damn, Perry's finish sucked.

Yeah ... misses a 6-footer to win the match on 17, blows it in the water on 18. Way to use that home-field advantage Kenny.
    Should be 4-0.

Azinger's looking pretty smart for deciding to sit Furyk and Perry BEFORE they gagged so horribly.

Perry has been fail-licious. Leave his ass in the clubhouse the rest of the weekend.

    That's a bit rough.

If you're in any part of a duo that halves Harrington-Garcia, you can take some pride away from that.

As gag-worthy as Perry played at the end, Ian Poulter played just as bad. So us Yanks can thank Faldo for that pick.

It irks me that Sergio still has a perfect record on alternate shot.

I suppose that's true. I was a bit caught up in the moment and had visions of 3 1/2-1/2 in my head.

Leonard-Mahan 1 up early on Garcia-Jimenez. Would THAT ever be unexpected and huge.

Leonard with a tee shot 1 inch from the cup on the third. They should be two up through three.

Perry hasn't played worth a damn in months. On another note, being the sweetheart that he is, how much do you think Montgomerie is enjoying watching the Europeans fall behind early today for the first time in 17 years? Especially since there's no love lost between he and Faldo?

He's probably smiling a lot, as are the British tabloid media, who are likely already sharpening their knives for Faldo's back.

I find it funny that at 3:08 p.m. Eastern, they switch announcing crews ... and they have to pull out a new dramatic intro to trumpet it.
