Oh, I understand. I'm just disputing the fact that it's "easy" to never get arrested. Even a nearly perfect guy like me has had to spend a night in the pokey.

And now DWB is an average traffic stop.

    Wait ...

Nah. We're just establishing that this teenager's treatment is reflective of the sex-trafficking problem here in the US.

Sure, there could be accumulated frustration, and of course it doesn't preclude the existence of racial profiling, but this is actually a good, very reasonable and true post.

Even if someone has been pulled over once because they're black, if it's just once, then it's just an example that something we know can happen, can in fact happen. But it's just one anecdotal example, and not proof of a constantly prevailing problem.

Anybody can be threatened with arrest, and almost arrested.

Even me. Yep, it happened once. But I got over it and didn't let it scar me for life. That's the key.

The fact that things can happen doesn't automatically mean that they're going to. Unless you starting acting like they are. Then, it's self-fulfilling, self-sabotaging stuff.

It IS possible for blacks and whites to get along, and for there not to be any problems. To only believe otherwise, also only because you happen to be black, or white, for that matter, does nothing but invite trouble.

It's easier for blacks and whites to get along than it is Republicans and Democrats.

J.T. Barrett wants to tell you there is no such thing as an average traffic stop.

I hate to interrupt the fascinating - if not somewhat unrealistic- discussion about traffic stops, but The State has some excellent reporting here on the role of school resource officers in schools:

Spring Valley SRO incident prompts broader look at officers’ role in schools

So let me get this straight, if you're disrespectful to a cop, all bets are off and you deserve a severe beating?

No you do not have it straight at all. Whatever the law is and whatever a cop says it is just a suggestion. You don't have to obey the law.

It's amazing how some people rush forward repeatedly to display stupidity.
