There was, I recall, some brief talk of the Grizz moving to the Rosemont Horizon, but mainly just as a bluff to get other competing cities/arenas to sweeten their deals. Nobody took it very seriously, as well they shouldn't have.

Ain't no one going to Seattle unless they plan to spend their own money for an arena.

No NBA team is going to commit to playing at Key Arena or the Tacoma Dome. Safeco Field isn't viable for basketball. And the local politicians have made it abundantly clear they have other things to spend their money on in this economy.

Webber is telling both sides to take a time out so he can go get some money from Ed Martin so he can buy the team.

And, naturally, AP reporting Maloofs undecided ... time to get a coin over which one to run, although my gut tells me Times.

Good News: Looks like the Kings will stay another year.
Bad News: Burkle now interested in buying the Dodgers.

Always wondered why the Clippers weren't playing at the Honda Center.

Because Sterling's b-level celebrity ticket-holders wouldn't show up in Anaheim.

Anyone in Seattle find it ironic Bennett is on the relocation committee? Thought I read somewhere else he was chair, but could be wrong.

Glad to see the league do something smart for a change.

He's certainly an authority on how owners can intentionally run a franchise into the ground, ass-fuck their existing market and scare up a sweetheart deal somewhere else.
