No doubt. My point was to those who look only at the Omaha TV market and exclaim that it's too small when its obvious a team there would draw from multiple markets.

It's not about that. It's about getting your product on as many screens as possible, probably on a regional sports network that will make $1 or $2 per subscriber for having that team's game on the channel.

It's the same thing behind the Big Ten adding teams, trying to max out the cash.

Did the Sacramento group make a counteroffer by the Maloof deadline on Friday at 5:00 P.M.?

Not sure ... but Seattle threw another $25M in the pot.

  6. Love the fact The Bee is discussing how Indians would suddenly become Kings fans if the tem says. Do Indians love mediocre basketball?

This must have happened 10 days ago but ...

David Aldridge is reporting --   -- the Relocation/Finance committees have unanimously recommended the board of governors vote to deny Kings relocation to Seattle.

Damn. That's a big deal and a big surprise.

I'm guessing it means Stern wants to force the Maloofs to sell -- which I think is their only option if they can't get the cash infusion of moving.

Looks like my friend will get to be an NBA owner after all.

Love that the NBA "stuck" it to the Maloofs; Maloofs are clowns, they signed off on the Stern negotiated deal in 2012, then reneged less than a month later. Read a report recently, the Maloofs asked to move as early as 2006!
