David Aldridge is reporting that Saddam is dead.

Deeper_Background is reporting that ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has been convicted of murder and sentenced to death by hanging.

The execution should take place before Jan. 1, 2007, his sources say.

 

Saddam is at the end of his rope.

Ironically, CNN's current programing on our digital cable guide is titled, "Happiness."

I've never seen that on CNN, but I don't usually watch CNN at this time of night.

 

I heard it here first on SportsJournalists.com, Saddam is no more. Fifteen years too late.

 

Same for my Dish Network, spup.

 

Is Happiness a CNN show that I just don't know about? I mean, like I said, I don't watch CNN at this time of night outside of election nights.

 

I wonder what the design whizbangs are going to whip up to mark this occasion.

I envision some headlines:

"SAADAMM DEAD"

"Hang in there"

"Iranian leader dies"

"Xxxxxxxx"

"He's dead"

 

AC 360 is usually on this time of night... I'm guessing Anderson was supposed to have the night off since he's hosting CNN's New Year's coverage this weekend. But he's obviously working tonight because of what's going on.
