Saddam hanged

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by 2muchcoffeeman, Dec 29, 2006.

  1. "First it was weapons of mass destruction. Then when there were none, it was that we had to find Saddam. We did that, but then it was that we had to put him on trial," said Spc. Thomas Sheck, 25, who is on his second tour in Iraq. "So now, what will be the next story they tell us to keep us over here?"

Don't worry, Specialist Sheck. They'll come up with something.

Get over yourself. You ain't that special, buddy.

I'd much rather listen to Spc. Sheck than your garbage.

Fenian is the liberal version of the crazy old man who can't feed or dress himself and sleeps on the sidewalk, even though he probably has a tight bankroll.

He's the SportsJournalists.com version of Phil Sanders from Night Court.

  7. Fine. Listen to whomever you choose.
Explain to me what you meant about "the next Democratic president" being flawless. (Let's stipulate that, being a human being, no president is flawless.) I gave you the "history lesson" to show you that the previous president wasn't exactly immune from criticism, even invented criticism.
As to the next president, from whichever party, I'll just be happy if he doesn't lose an entire American city, wreck the economy, and mire the country in an open-ended clusterfuck of a war that hinders us from fighting the actual enemy that launched the worst attack on mainland US since 1812, also on his watch.
My standards are pretty low these days,

Because we're getting to the point that whomever lands in the White House won't be able to take a shit without being criticized.

I agree with Heijja Henry's post from the other thread. There used to be a time when the President of the United States was respected by both parties.

And no one really gives a shit.

  9. That certainly wasn't the case from 9/11/01 through about mid-03.
And it damn sure wasn't the case in the first 100 years of the country's history.

What you say cryptically says more than you'd care to reveal. Connections to Coulter are clear...but the suggestion to run for political office? I have never seen Fenian urged to do something similar. Beautiful.

And it's people like Fenian and a host of other semi-wits on this board who perpetuate that crap under the guise of First Amendment rights. Whatever. But the First Amendment authors assumed the populace would know something about respect.
