Saints/Bears and Colts/Patriots with spreads (your picks)

  1. Despite whatever teams you think will win, wouldn't it be great if it was the Colts and the Saints? It would be the highest scoring Super Bowl ever.

Peyton playing his father's team, too. It's the Super Bowl that I want to see.

The next person, here, in my office, or in the national media, that says the Bears have an "amazing" defense and Rex just needs to "not lose it" and they'll be fine, deserves to be drop-kicked in the groin again and again while I show them game footage of the Bears D the last 10 games of the year.

And LBJ, that blog post was right on. It's amazing how many people want to demonize Rex saddle up with Brian Griese, a drunk who has already failed in three NFL stops, blaming everyone but himself when things when bad.

Rex could throw three TDs tomorrow, get blind-sided and fumble once, and the media would write sidebars about how stupid Rex was for not sensing the blind-side pressure, and how the Bears awesome defense once again overcame his short-comings by giving up only 412 yards and 28 points.

I agree. Grossman is why the Bears beat the Seahawks plain and simple. Those big passes he had were amazing.

Pickin' on a beat-up Seattle secondary's all he was doing.
He was pressured lots, and will be again Sunday.

It was beat up, I agree, but as a Seahawks fan I just didn't think the Bears defense played all that well. The defense is living on reputation more than anything right now.

I don't know what the point total is, but I am taking the Saints to win 31-24.

We're not talking regular season here . . . we're talkin playoffs. Playoffs, you wanna talk about playoffs? Playoffs?

Screw the whole Manning family. Peyton and Eli will NEVER win a Super Bowl.

    AFC Championship
    Patriots 38, Colts 35
Adam misses game-tying field goal late in the fourth quarter.

    NFC Championship
    Saints 24, Bears 20
Oh and the Saints go marching in . . .

    Super Bowl XLI
    Patriots 28, Saints 21
And that classless Ellis Hobbs imitates Shannon Sharpe by grabbing a sideline phone and calling for FEMA as he declares "Hurricane Bill just hit Miami and its conditions are being felt all the way in Louisiana. Somebody help them!"
