Clummbo is still parroting an analyst's faulty claim.

The reason I think it gives the Bears the edge is not necessarily the snow; although, I think it will keep the speed down for New Orleans. I'm anxious to see how quick Hester and Berrian will be on the field, too, since they haven't had any snow-filled games yet. The snow could slow them down as well. For me, the edge goes to the Bears because of the cold air. After running hard in cold air, their lungs are going to hurt. I think the cold air will have less of an effect on the Bears because they're used to it. With Rex growing up in Bloomington, Indiana, he is probably used to the cold air, too, despite going to school in Florida.

Yeah, I'm sure Reggie Bush will be unaffected by the snow.

Probably to the same extent the guys trying to tackle him are. Which means his still faster than the guys chasing him.

Unless you're suggesting the snow will magically make all the Saints fall down, while your proud Midwestern warriros will be unhindered by it.

I'm sure he saw a lot of snow at USC. :D

I think the dome team will be affected by a slick field, yes. I think the team who only played two games in a dome this year will deal with the elements a little better.

And musftardbased proves he's never played a game in the snow.

The claim you're trying to make works with WRs; they know their routes and generally are behind most of the defense.

RBs are trying to cut through the entire defense. That's why bigger, straight-ahead backs fare better in bad weather.

Since you're stumbling over this making-a-point challenge, I'll even help you out. I expect Deuce McAllister to have a good game in this weather.

And when you factor in the fact Bush does the lion's share of his work outside the tackle box, with McAllister handling the inside running you see that I'm right.

Hell, you even admitted to it in your post. Thanks.

Except when they are split out.
    Or taking screen passes.
    Or taking pitches.

But Reggie Bush is rarely used for these purposes. I'm sure he'll be Mr. 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-mud today. They'll let McAllister handle all that other stuff.

Even when Bush is split out, though, he's not running the same route as a WR most of the time.

And running off-tackle (although I'm sure you really mean around the end) requires making a cut. In the snow.

Keep trying. You may fish a few crumbs out of your pockets.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the Saints are going to be wearing cleats today. I suspect they'll be OK.

I do wish, however, I'd have considered this magical snow that will cause the Saints to stumble while leaving Chicago's players on their feet before making my pick.

Good luck to your boys. Hope they give the nation a better game than your last Midwestern mancrush.

I suppose if the Saints start to play well in this magical blizzard, your next post will be to suggest that New Orleans didn't really belong in the game, anyway.

Edit: And I don't mean around end. I mean off-tackle, with the option to cut back or go outside. Nice try, though.

You mean, the Bears winning last week? That was pretty cool. Wish it wouldn't have taken OT, though.

    Mmm, crumbs.
