News flash: There are a lot of hate-filled, racist misogynistic assholes who want to vote for someone who will make it OK for them to be hate-filled, racist misogynistic assholes again. They don't support Trump because of "political correctness." They support Trump because he represents their desire to be selfish, hateful douchebags without repercussion.

We -- and, by we, I mean the American left -- have turned Christopher Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson into villains for actions and views taken/held between 200 and 500 years ago.

But, we're going to use "historical context" to excuse FDR's actions because they were 70 years and "social views" have changed in the passing years?

It's funny. Dick is right. FDR will be thrown overboard at some time in the future. Today's college kids don't have any allegiance to him. It's only the olds like Hillary that still hold up the Roosevelts as heroes.

Christopher Columbus was pretty much all villain. Look him up. He didn't care about anything other than making money.

Andrew Jackson was a badass, but his treatment of Native Americans who had basically assimilated into our culture was shameful.

Thomas Jefferson was a genius with faults.

What did McCarthy do again that made this country a better place?

A caller to Rush Limbaugh today made a good point about Trump's plans, and it's written up here:

Trump Supporter: Read The Art of the Deal to Understand What He's Doing - The Rush Limbaugh Show

And maybe summarized best by Tump here:

Let's take Trump's plan at hand for a minute.

Politico makes the case today that Saudi Arabia is funding terrorism:

Saudi Arabia Is Underwriting Terrorism. Let’s Start Making It Pay.

Now, the Saudi Royal family, and every two bit Middle Eastern potentate sends their kids (boys) here for an education.

Trump's plan would end that -- at least temporarily.

In the aftermath of Russia's invasion/annexation of Crimea, the President put visa restrictions on "Putin's inner circle". That was hailed as brilliant, and it would put pressure on him. These billionaire big shots would surely lean on him to moderate.

Well, Trump's plan would mean no student visas. No New York City or Beverly Hills shopping sprees. No visiting the multi-million dollar homes that have been bought in the last several years in New York and Los Angeles.

If implemented -- even temporarily -- wouldn't this put enormous pressure on Middle Eastern governments? These guys have to get out of dodge to have a little fun. Imagine if France and Great Britain did the same.

    You think it wouldn't matter?

And, what would they do? We'd become a pariah nation? How so? They wouldn't sell us their oil? They wouldn't send their kids back to school here once the ban was lifted? They'd sell their real estate holdings here?

Trump's plan isn't going to be implemented, but the fact that some people are worried that it might be isn't the worst thing ever.

That's all well and good. But, when does FDR get thrown in with them?

Absolutely nothing. I thought we made that clear.

These are the adults in the room folks. The "hair" comment wasn't some ad lib, it was in the prepared remarks:

It's inconceivable that Trump would propose keeping Muslims out of our country without any due process:

The no fly list has grown from 4,00 to 47,000 under President Obama:

The documents, obtained from a source in the intelligence community, also reveal that the Obama Administration has presided over an unprecedented expansion of the terrorist screening system. Since taking office, Obama has boosted the number of people on the no fly list more than ten-fold, to an all-time high of 47,000—surpassing the number of people barred from flying under George W. Bush.
    ...
The number is also a testament to the Obama administration’s intensified collection of personal information on individuals with suspected links to terrorism. In 2006, CBS News obtained a copy of the no fly list and reported that it included 44,000 names, including Bolivian President Evo Morales and the head of Lebanon’s parliament. Faced with a widespread public backlash, the government cut the list down to just 4,000 names by late 2009.

Whether it's Obama on ISIS or Trump on Muslims, all anybody gives a flying fuck about is the rhetoric. Don't come around here with your data.

The board would be much worse off. That's the consensus. It was discussed a few weeks ago, at length. Even my sworn enemies agreed.

I was humbled and honored, and I am going to continue to bring the pain and the noise.
