I suspect nothing new will be released until they finish searching that apartment/townhouse/whatever. So I believe I'll just close up shop here. Whatever the reason, this blows. I'm not that into the motives of those who commit atrocities. Be nice if we could figure out how to have fewer of them, though.

Well, duh, if everyone would just carry a gun everywhere, we wouldn't have this problem.
I, for one, am packing right now. Sitting at my computer at home with the safety off. Cuz, like, ya never know right?

We'll see. I know plenty of instances when pipe bombs were used by rednecks, so that angle isn't a shock to me.

I'd think a jihadist would pick a different target than a county workers' party. That bit makes it seem personal.

*Full disclosure: I do not have a gun. Given how I fared when I played Duck Hunt as a child, me being armed would probably do more harm than good.

It's possible. I just have a hard time thinking anyone has two friends/family members willing to go a long with something like that.

Come visit Redneckistan. Like they say, a friend will bail you out of jail. A good friend will be in there with you.

Well, yeah, but that doesn't usually involve assault rifles and tactical gear. Certainly not saying it couldn't happen, but those are some loyal friends.

Doubt very seriously this episode got started when someone said, "Hey y'all, watch this!"

The dog scoffs at schieza, indeed. The really sad thing on Twitter is how many people are genuinely pissed that someone created a hashtag misspelled #sanbernadino Everyone just HAS to be right (even when they're not). Nope, our priorities aren't out of whack.

Yes, CAIR is holding a news conference right now because I've made so many illogical leaps.

Also, I really feel for these folks at the CAIR press conference apologizing for their relatives. These are the real people of the Muslim faith once again having to bear the brunt of what the radicals of their faith do. You can see the anguish in them as they speak, and I really respect the guts it takes for them to get up in front of reporters and do this.
