Story says victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and police subdued the perpetrator as he was threatening others.

So yeah probably the same casualty count as if he had walked in there with a semiautomatic.

There is absolutely no purpose to fake wrestling, and so many of its participants die young because of steroids, and many others get hurt doing their pratfalls. Should we ban professional wrestling for a greater public purpose?

Guns don't kill people, they just make it a lot easier.

*should we*? I don't think that's necessary. With all apologies to the Benoit family, they're primarily hurting themselves and not others.

Could we legally if we wanted to? Absolutely.

I'm not sure what listening is going to do. Some ideological issues are intractable, and discussion isn't going to change that.

Actually there is a law of gravity. At present our understanding of it might be incomplete or in error, but there's a law ... and we follow it.

Ban professional wrestling? An expressive form of art? How the hell you gonna get around the 1st Amendment?

What would the greater public purpose be?

The government takes away property because they claim a greater public purpose can be used for it by building roads and schools. Of course, this has been bastardized by claiming that baseball stadiums serve a greater public purpose by allegedly providing jobs and boosting the area around them. So what would be the greater public purpose in banning pro wrestling?
