    This is great too.

Trump appeared -- by phone of course, which is another thing that makes heads explode on twitter -- on four network shows this morning:

Mika said that other campaigns were calling in to complain that they were giving Trump so much airtime.

She says they told the other campaigns to have their candidate call in and they would put him/her on the air. None called in.

Very brave of them. (I guess Kasich did eventually call in after she said no one else would come on, and they put him on the air.)

The trap is baited. Waiting quietly in the bushes to see if Dick bags anything.

I'm not defending my side. Trump's being ridiculous. He's proposing a plan that will never be enacted, and is meant purposely to put pressure on others.

But, FDR really did put American citizens into internment camps. He really did keep out refugees.

And, he's a hero to the left.

All he wanted to do was sell Slushees and root for his favorite squadron, the Ny Mets.

Somehow it'll get worked around that the Republican attorney general of California was really the driving force behind all that. But then it'll get pointed out that that guy pushed for, and got, a unanimous S.C. decision in Brown. So when that cognitive dissonance sets in, we'll hear either "Look! Puppies!" or "Iraq!" My money's on puppies.

Well, he did some good things and bad things in some of the most troubled times in this country's history.

If he ran for president proposing to lock up Japanese citizens and people who may look Japanese, I doubt he'd be a hero to anyone.

The media does Trump so many favors btw.

When they won't tell us that a Muslim-American terror supporter who has "radicalized" terrorists gained entry to America under the refugee program, it makes it look like they are trying to hide/minimize the problem.

And, that feeds Trump's supporters who think he's the only truth teller.

Strictly looking to wrestle with this as a legal puzzle for a second and leaving political questions aside ...

If you were a Muslim (or black or any other identifiable class) citizen or legal resident, and your spouse or family was no longer able to come to America in order of Der Trump, would you be able to bring a case that you are being discriminated against because of your religion, race, etc.?

MSNBC among others is hysterical in regards to this too.

"We talked to some Constitutional experts, and they tell us this is un-Constitutional!!"

Then they go on to tell us how religious tests are not allowed under the US Constitution, which of course refers to the eligibility to hold office, not what restrictions we could put on non-citizens who want to visit or immigrate here.

It also ignores the fact that refugees are regularly made to prove their religious affiliation, because it is their religious affiliation that is often the reason for their persecution in their home country, and what would make them eligible for refugee status.

    NYPD's top cop:

Now, as we struggle with this, Obama and the Times propose additional restrictions to our gun rights.

    Trump proposes keeping out foreigners.

Which one disrupts American's rights more?

    Rep. Keith Ellison:

“Most people know more about what keeps our country strong than the leading Republican presidential candidate. Donald Trump should reread the words of our Constitution about religious freedom and tolerance. Do we really want someone who doesn’t understand our values speaking to the world on our behalf?

“The President is supposed to bring everyone together, not divide through hateful rhetoric and fear mongering about an entire religion.

“The fact that Donald Trump is leading in the Republican Presidential primary polls should raise deep concerns about where Republicans want to lead our country.

“Demagogues like Trump appeal to the worst in people. They have never been celebrated in our history books - from Joseph McCarthy on.

“Americans know that we are braver and better than this.”

Rep. Keith Ellison Statement on Donald Trump Calling for an End to Muslim Immigration

Yep. Keith is right. McCarthy and FDR are held in similar disdain by historians, the media, and the current day Democratic Party.
