Saw The Dark Knight last night...

  1. Not sure what you mean, X.
Batman is not "super." He's just an athletic guy with great gadgets.
He is being chased to keep the public from learning the truth about Dent. Of course, based on BB and DK until the end, he was already a "vigilante" the cops were supposed to arrest anyway.
They are just taking that factor up a notch now.

Batman is taking the blame for the murders that Dent committed. Among other things, that makes him a cop killer in the eyes of just about everybody. Gordon is going to be the only one who knows the truth.

It is definitely a little confusing.

Xan's post reminded me of something I noticed in this movie. It seemed they tried to make it a point of making Batman seem more human and fallible, unlike "Batman Begins" where he was almost this supernatural badass at times:
-- The first fight scene with the Scarecrow and the dogs, he gets knocked around a bit. Just the way he moves when he bounces off the parking garage pillar is slow and deliberate.
-- The scene when he takes his shirt off in the Bat Trailer and shows the wounds and scars he's started to accumulate.
-- The part near the end where he gets up slowly as Gordon is trying to help him.

Anybody else notice this? Kind of bothered me a bit, even if I do understand why they might have done it.

New candidate for Catwoman: Piper Perabo.

The thought of her in skin-tight leather is enough to drive me crazy..

  6. I definitely noticed it. Why would it bother you, though? That's always been part of what makes Batman unique is he doesn't have any true super powers.

Agreed, and they also make a point that he is still tinkering with the body armor. It was slowing him down in the parking garage scene.

I keep waiting for her to get another lead role. Don't know about her as an actress, but she's amazingly attractive.
