An aside:

I just talked to JASID, and relayed this message. He laughed and said "Yeah, I'm an overnight success. It only took me five years." He's pretty sure he was paraphrasing a similar comment by former college coach Kevin Mackey. (Come to think of it, I think Mackey's back in the college ranks, at a small school.)
