What would you call this:

I'm talking about Satchel Paige and Roberto Clemente.


How did two of the game's greatest players at their positions (or any position) and ambassadors of baseball -- and their influence on the influx of minority contributions to the game -- get so conveniently overlooked? How does this happen to those two particular players who are larger than life, bigger than the game, but doesn't happen to the only other one?


The one who meant the same to one set of people that the other two meant to their people?


Is it that obvious? Are we supposed to be that oblivious?"

By the way, did anyone see Scoops newest column where he asked which McNabb? The early season one or the one who lost to New Orleans? How can someone write that column after one subpar game by someone who was doing so amazing? Maybe if McNabb had a string of bad games, he could write something to that effect. Sorry Scoop, you're the only one who is wondering if one bad game will affect him at all.

He also said that McNabb was better than Manning (and according to his column, so did the guys on ATI (I didn't watch.)) It is beyond me how 8 years of outplaing McNabb could be erased after 6 games.

 

how did McNabb have a bad game? threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns with one interception on a Hail Mary from 70 yards out as time expired at the end of the first half
