No. Sadly, TV money trumps all.

Doubtful. "Travel plans," blah, blah, blah.

Trying to remember the last time an NFL player died during the season. Chuck Hughes?

Not what I wanted to hear when I turned on the TV.
Not a good start to the day.

Agreed Highway. My wife saw it on the news and told me. Our 4-year-old heard and immediately started talking about my wife's father, who passed away a couple of years ago, because that is really all she knows about death -- that her grandpa died.

"Where is he? I want to see him."

Breaks my wife's heart every time she does that. And I can only imagine how hard it will be for the mother of Taylor's little one when the child is old enough to start asking the same questions.

RIP....and somebody please find the scumbag who took that little kid's father away.

Disgusting how human life is treated by other "humans".

I get shivers each time I hear that the phone lines outside his house had been cut.

    RIP.

Kinda drives a hole in that random robbery theory. Sounds a lot more like a hit.

Or staged. Any chance the girlfriend is involved? Could it have been a domestic fight gone real bad?

The question to me is this: a. Did the invaders target Taylor himself and just "luck" into his being home on a day and time that, by rights, he normally wouldn't have been; b. Did the invaders have intimate knowledge of his schedule; or c. was the original plan to kill his girlfriend and child?

His friends say he was trying to shed some of the unsavory attachments he had developed over the years.

    One shot did miss.

And my first thought when I heard he had been shot in the groin was that possibility.

The cops, unless they are releasing some red herrings, don't seem to think so, though.
