Again: the phone lines were apparently not cut.

The girlfriend's story is that the baby slept through the chaos.

Could have been from the earlier "burglary," could have been a bad wiring job, maybe he didn't pay his bill, maybe they didn't want home phones. Hell if I know.

    I wasn't there.

So nice that the advertisements on this page are for knives.

Again, let me clarify: The phone thing is something I heard from someone in my office working on the story. I haven't read every story online to see if it's been reported. It's why I keep saying 'apparently.'

Good point. Maybe it was used to open something. Nothing else makes sense. Lots of ways to send a message that don't involve getting a knife from the kitchen.

I always though this site picked the worst things to have advertisements about.

You start a thread about a child molester being arrested, and it's "Look what you can buy this kids!"

I've used a knife... and a dime.... as a flathead screwdriver before.

solemn trey wingo on "nfl live" just reported: "police in miami are now calling this a homicide."

wtf? it was a homicide the second taylor died. christ, the way the worldwide leader reports news is staggering. at least he didn't say it was an exclusive.

p.s.: could equally solemn mark schlereth suck off joe gibbs any harder? ??? ???

I hear you. Good point. Didn't this person actually knock down the bedroom door to get to him? I can't imagine a burglar doing that. After all, if the guy was asleep, wouldn't his door be unlocked? Another woman sounds like a good theory. Or another man?

For some reason, I keep wondering which two people might have met during Thanksgiving dinner and hatched a plan to to kill him. Obviously, he had lots of cash. There's a potential motive.

As for the phone call, my understanding is that the girlfriend waited quite awhile before calling. I believe his so-called former attorney said he had lost lots of blood and was unconscious with his eyes rolled back when the paramedics arrived. I know he said she waited to call.

Supposedly, she wanted to make sure the people had departed. Any fool knows, however, that a person who just fired two bullets would get the hell out of dodge. I'll bet money they find out that the phones were shut off just a few weeks ago. This smells like it's premeditated. Even if the first break-in just was legit, perhaps it planted a seed.

Or perhaps they were receiving harassing phone calls? Or maybe they just didn't have a land line? By the way, didn't this person need to get through a gate, then the security system, assuming he had one, then break down the door, then break down the bedroom door?

His former attorney seems to enjoy the limelight. He has been on radio station unsolicited and has been the source of a lot of misinformation, including the phone line being cut.
