    These two thoughts don't mesh.

How can an untrained shooter kick open a door and then aim for somebody's junk? Especially when they didn't know that somebody would be standing there?

They kicked open the door, saw somebody and fired wildly. It was not a message.

  2. I'm sure these teens listen to rap music, so all the sociological speculation probably holds.

something tells me that a dead man's salary won't count against the cap.

The NBA kept Reggie Lewis' contract on the cap after he died.

But seeing how the NFL has taken contracts off the cap figure before for off-field injuries -- was it Cornelius Bennett maybe? -- I'm sure the league will take care of that at some point in the near future.

  5. Can't the leagues do pretty much what they want to do about the cap in situations like these? All they really have to do is stand the gaff from other owners, right?

which only proves how bad the NBA has always and always will suck donkey balls.

I thought the NBA gave the Celtics a partial break on that, but I'm not sure.

Sort of lost track of this thread when I first wanted to post about this, so here goes... way too late...

I think it says a lot about Sean Taylor that his daughter, instead of being named Seanee, or Seaniqua... or Sean, was named Jackie, after the baby's mom.

A refreshing counter to the gross, chauvinistic and misogynistic epidemic of children being named after the sperm provider over and over again in this selfish, insecure country.

    That is all.

So now it's misogynistic to name your kid after his dad. Thanks for the update on morality.

I think it is a power play over the mother, yes.

Glad to see Simon is bored and needs to start an argument.

How would a name be a "power play" over the mother, especially since the moms name most of these kids (as the theory goes) because dad's never around?

    "the theory goes"?

You can take that one, I'll stick with mine.

I know too many assclowns who have named their kids, even their daughters, after themselves.

Unapologetic, Type A, chauvinist meatheads, almost all of them.
