We're going clubbing. Girls are getting club-worthy. Heels, flashy shirts, all kinds of goodness.

    No formal. Club.

Trinity is a rather long walk or short cab from where you guys are staying, about a mile and a quarter south. It's in the pioneer square area, which is close to Safeco Field.

I'm not going to be any help with the club scene. But if people want to meet up and hang out in the earlier part of the night, or there are people who don't want to hit dance clubs, 2nd Ave. would be a good home base.

A formal dinner might be tough to pull off with people on different schedules and stuff, and it's kind of tough to mingle seated at a big table, IMO. Since many will be meeting for the first time, might be more fun to just hang at a bar. If people want to go eat, there are plenty of options in that neighborhood.

. . . and with the heels, flashy shirts and, what was it? Oh yes, all kinds of goodness, I'd suggest the cab option

I've been to Trinity. It's not my kind of place, but would probably be really good for what you guys are looking for.

That's probably not my kind of place, either, Arnold. I don't think there should be pressure to all go to the same place. If there are a few groups who want to check out different places, we could always do a group dinner first or meet up as a group later in the night, and otherwise the groups could go to their respective kind of places.

Ideally, I'd see us meeting up and mingling/drinking at Shorty's and/or Lava Lounge, and the girls and other clubbers can grab a cab from there to do their thing and everybody else can do whatever we feel like.

Is there an area where laid-back themed bars and dance clubs are within walking distance? If so, those who choose can hang out with different groups at different times.

Be advised that I will be taking notes during this trip for a future story, something along the lines of the Doc and spup wedding story, or at least that form.
