we'll see i guess. in west texas anything under 60 percent meant no rain. in seattle it seems to mean it will rain no matter what.

My Columbia-brand jacket has a hood. And I saw more people with umbrellas when I lived in SoCal than I ever did when I lived in the PNW. Umbrellas are for wimps.

I am 89 hours removed from landing at SeaTac. I'm not ashamed to admit that I has a boner at the prospects of this trip.

I do not have an accent.

And there's no way your stache is worse than Giambi's.

Can't confirm or deny, because I haven't been to either. But I've got rave reviews from people I know who have been, so that's good enough for me.

I'm definitely a go for the Experience, which seems to be right around the Key Arena area (and so is the Space Needle, acc. to The Google.) And if The Google is correct, it's only a 0.5-mile walk from our hotel.

Couple other places I want to hit, down near Safeco:

    - Ebbets Field Flannels, the only outlet of its kind in the U.S.
    - Elliott Bay Book Co., at Pioneer Square

I figure Friday afternoon-ish will be a good time to hit those two, before the game, since we'll be in the area. (Also depending on if/where we're all getting together to eat ...) Anybody's welcome to join me. They also seem to be within short walking/cabbing distance from the hotel.

SC, did you say you were gonna post some kind of "group sked"? My memory's hazy, 'cause it's 4 a.m. ...

Otherwise, I'm gonna start one for me, 'cause a lot of other people want to do a lot of other things (... unless everyone's interested in vintage baseball apparel like me, then feel free to, you know, come along ... ;D)

Buck, the bookstore is on our list, too. And The Queen is going to kill you for alerting me to the Ebbets Field Flannels. Our hotel is very close to the Needle, I think. Hit us up and we'll go with you. I'll leave her in the bookstore while I load up on goodies.

I just realized I don't think anyone has mentioned Sport (which should have been an obvious stop). It's a fancy (well, think upscale sports bar) restaurant across the street from the Space Needle (no joke) with walls of Northwest sports memorabilia.

I dig the place and I'd be up for getting dinner (or lunch, much cheaper, still good) there one day.

Looks like I got my work stuff covered for the weekend, too, so I should be in on most of the weekend. And I'm totally up for being a tour guide if anyone wants a local around. :)

I'm very jealous of all y'all. Take lots of pictures and e-mail (or post) 'em back for the rest of us!

Safeco has some of the best ballpark food in the country, at least according to today's New York Times. Even Ichiro has his own namesake snack!
