I hope you're saying that proudly, as a former Washingtonian... ;)

How hardcore is this Mt Rainier hike going to be? (And how early would I have to get up to join?) I need to decide if I want to hike or do the tourist-y things Friday.

Sorry, 'gol, but underground tour = laaaaame.

And for the record, Ichiro stretches for BP in the clubhouse. Though I am always an advocate of BP. People who come for BP are better people, generally, than those who do not. :)

    Is it?
I always thought it was cool, but granted that was a long time ago.

Agreed on the underground tour. I went in middle school on a class field trip and that's about the end age range of when it's cool.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Honestly, Angola, it might be pretty awesome if we all got drunk and then went, but I'm not sure they'd let us in if we were wasted.

Hike could be anywhere from 3 miles round-trip to 7 miles. I'm thinking of taking the one that goes across a suspension bridge. Everything I've seen of the trails I'm thinking of taking calls them "moderate," meaning some easy shit with a few tough climbs thrown in. One of the folks in is female, if that helps.

And we'll leave the hotel no later than 9 a.m. Friday. Figure on probably a six-hour trip by the time we get there, hike and get back to the city.

Ahh, you'll be all right. You're probably from Everett. Which explains a lot.

Sounds like my kind of drinking companion! I'm liking this ducky cat.

Born and raised in Seattle proper, thankyouverymuch. ;-) I'm not a "Seattle-ish" native, as I give those folks a hard time (a friend of mine from college claimed Seattle but was really from Lake Stevens).

I've heard I'm pretty easy to get along with. ;-)

I hope you're not implying anything by saying that, because if I join, that'll mean two females are in the mix.

Sidenote: Ugh. I'm watching the Seattle 11 p.m. newscast and, apparently, it's supposed to start pouring again tomorrow. I still haven't figured out why I don't leave the Pacific Northwest. Stupid rain.
