I'm not 100 percent certain, but I believe the store they used to have on Occidental no longer exists. However, a look into the interweb tubes finds that Ebbets has an outlet in Seattle:

Whaaa? Important update there. Is that their old office site?

At any rate, it's still in the same 'hood.

As for pre-game dinner, in D.C. we ate after the game. Most people had a late lunch or got something quick and easy before. To get that many people fed and over to the ballpark for BP for a 7 p.m. game, we'd have to eat about 4. My suggestion is we do a 5 p.m. from the hotel wave for those who want to see some BP and a 6 p.m. wave for those who don't. And eat afterward. But that's just a suggestion.

By the time they get to Seattle, the Nats will be drafting players out of the stands so we have a chance to play.

No, no, dear ducky. It's 101 here today. Rain is not an "ugh" it's an "aahhhhhh."

Weather forecast for the outing from the National Weather Service:

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.

Considering it's already 93 fucken degrees with a 106 heat index at 11 in the ass morning, I'm rubbing my hands in giddy anticipation. DON'T LET ME DOWN, SJ.

    IJAG, let's trade.

The Mariners *should* be...I think it would help their cause. One beat guy is something ridiculous like 4-26 in his past 30 games covered. Man, I don't think I'd be able to stay sane.

Of course, that also bodes well for your Nats, moddy. They've got a fighting chance - even if they pull folks out of the stands. Especially if Erik I-love-baseball-but-I-could-give-an-eff-about-winning Bedard starts for the M's.

The Mariners fired their hitting coach, which should solve all the problems they're having.

    PARTY UPDATE

Rather than make a bunch of out-of-towners scramble to contribute to a pot luck, it's been suggested that people can contribute to a food fund, and I'll buy a stockpile of stuff for a BBQ.

If you care to contribute through paypal, you can do so through jess_greene@yahoo.com

Please note on the paypal order and/or through PM who you are, so that your largesse may be dooley noted.

Unless people have other preferences, I'm thinking BYOB is the best policy, though I might get a pony keg of my favorite local brew. It just seems like people are picky about what they drink and usually bring their own anyway. For those coming from the game, there are well-stocked grocery stores a few blocks away.

***Also, another call for names and numbers to go on a phone list to be distributed to outing attendees. I've got about 10 already, so if you want to make sure you can find people or be found, send me a PM.***

Also also, anyone who wants party directions needs to send me an email address anyway.

I'm pretty sure 80 percent of the people coming to this shindig already have my number. :D

I'm sending money right now, Babar.

    In. Check yer mail.
A little donation to my partying friends. And if The Queen somehow talks me into going, I won't feel like a freeloader.
