Seattle 2008 SJ.com outing: T-minus one week

A bunch of the guys are in one room, and the girls have a room, too. Not sure about everyone else.

 

All right, after much deliberation and looking at budgets, here is my plan.

I will arrive in Seattle early Saturday morning and hopefully hit the Space Needle and a ferry ride with some folks, though I may skip the ferry and go to the aquarium instead. Is Pike Place being seen Saturday?

I'm staying in a hotel near the airport because it is at least $150 cheaper than downtown and cabbing it to Arnie's and going home early Sunday.

What time are people thinking of doing stuff Saturday? I'm thinking I can meet folks somewhere to do the touristy stuff - my girlfriend has never been to Seattle - and want to know what time I should arrive in the Emerald City.

Oooooooooh there's an aquarium? I might have to make time for that. I LIVE for aquariums.

I think we're going to get tattooed in the early afternoon, so we're done by game time. But I'd be open to a morning aquarium visit...

 

Seattle's aquarium is tremendous. And right on the waterfront.

 

Right now, I know of at least two of us. I think four of us are going, but that includes our chauffeur.

 

I haven't been since I was in junior high, I heard it is amazing now. True?

 

I feel dirty just reading that.

Can't wait to get there!

 

I haven't been since the remodel, but I loved it before and people who have been there since rave about it. They have a tank with a window that's like three stories high. When they brought the glass in they had to close the freeway.

 

Maybe that's how I'll spend my Sunday...
