    Not at all.

The Bible is the "inspired" word of God, written by man.

The folks who wrote the New Testament wrote it well after the life of Christ. Each Gospel writer had his own intended audience, and message.

The Bible was also not written in English. It also wasn't written in the language spoken by Christ.

So, most people who are trying to take the Bible literally aren't educated enough to do so.

Then you get into the process, led by men, in which it was decided which books were to be included in the Bible.

The message of Christ is clear when reading the Bible, but the Catholic Church does not consider the Bible to be the literal word of God.

At the Last Supper, Christ instituted a New Covenant with humanity. And, while Christianity was originally a sect of Judaism, early Church leaders clearly separated themselves from Judaism. You didn't have to become a Jew, for instance, to become a Christian.

Best I can tell, the Attorney General made the decision to redact the transcript, not the FBI.

No indication on whether or not anyone from the White House (Ben Rhodes) weighed in:

United States Attorney Lee Bentley was asked if the omissions conflicted with Florida law. He said they did not.

"This is a federal investigation," Bentley said. "The Attorney General decided upon this limited release."

Are we talking solely about Catholicism? That's how I roll. But fundamentalists believe it is the inerrent Word of God, no?

All the ones who say homosexuality is bad?

    Maybe. I'm not an expert.

But, would even they say they are bound by Leviticus? If Jesus formed a New Covenant with humanity, that doesn't mean that Leviticus wasn't the word of God. It just means it no longer applies.

    You tell me.

What does the Catholic Church say about homosexuality?

It's not like there isn't a lot of literature on this.

Just happened to see some "expert" on CNN claiming he was told that. No idea who allegedly told hin that.

So no Christian theologian cites Leviticus, it's all about what St. Paul wrote? Sure.

Except there are reams and reams of literature doing just that - including the hadith and writings by the Sahabah (people who knew Muhammed when he lived). You can even find websites (in English!) written by respected Islamic scholars that do it ... Tafsir Al-Mizan

And the fact there are different denominations of Islam prove that isn't true either.

Whoever made the decision I think it's a smart one. Why provide propaganda material for ISIS or worse have another crazy hear it and decide they want to do the same thing.

    Do any mention Leviticus?

    Tell me.

You seem to think it's Leviticus. Is it?
