I'm sure the guy insisted on being interviewed in disguise because he was fearful of what the local Baptists might do to him ...

Absolutely not. Muslims have an even bigger problem than Christians in terms of their repression of homosexuality.

Have any other news organizations picked up on this story?

Seems like they're all having a hard time confirming it.

Reverend Roy Bob in Lake Opopka doesn't think homosexuals should be allowed to compel people to recognize their marriages. But I'm sure he's comforted in knowing that you don't think he's quite as bad as some Saudi imam who's against eliminating the death penalty for homosexual acts. Why, if our imam would just accept public flogging as a maximum penalty, he and Roy Bob would be practically indistinguishable.

No confirmation in that story of any sort that this dude even knew the shooter. Hell, he said Mateen never even told him his name. It could be true, but it's irresponsible to give this guy air time without some sort of concrete evidence he actually knew the shooter. If Univision has that confirmation, it should have mentioned it in the story.

On the other hand, I'm guessing Pastor Roger Jiminez thinks Reverand Roy Bob panders too much to gay people.

He's got a lot to answer for ... he felt bad about the 2-year-old who was killed by the alligator.

What those Muslims do with chickpeas is incredible.
