Seeking East Coast-ish honeymoon suggestions

Charleston is a great suggestion. Beautiful city, great restaurants, nice beach at Isle of Palms and a lot to see.

If it's around Memorial Day once it gets warm, Block Island, RI is another great place to go. Much smaller, much less commercialized and more laid-back than Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. The entire island is bikeable, plenty of good restaurants, incredible beaches and great places to stay. Lots of houses to rent, also good small B&Bs. But if it was my honeymoon, I'd stay at Spring House -- a beautiful old-fashioned resort hotel on a cliff high over the ocean, right above the main drag, with a phenomenal restaurant.

 

I'd recommend Quebec City. It's like going to Europe but without the airfare.

Halifax is nice as well.
