Whoa, thanks for the heads up.
I reckon I could order a bottle of white, throw some chicken parts on the grill and commence.
    Good deal.

Yeah, it's great stuff. You can buy Big Bob's sauce in most Wal-Marts along the I-10 and I-20 corridors between New Orleans and Atlanta.

Do I have to put the little sunshine at the end?

I'm in Cali. I think I've got to have it shipped.

I spent a night at the Houndstooth many years ago during an NCAA gymnastics event. Can't vouch if it's still the case, but the guy stayed open as long as we wanted to drink; I think we finally cleared out about 3 a.m., and we certainly paid for the experience the next day.

I also thought Dreamland was excellent. But we don't get barbeque like that in Microville every day.

I loathe ribs, and l love the BBQ...
But stop at Southeastern Meats and pick up a bottle of locally made Truman's BBQ sauce. Thank me later.

The Houndstooth has been totally renovated from what it used to be, a little dive bar with a maze of hallways and a half-dozen little rooms to drink it. Now it's a huge open-air place, with an outdoor patio and a couple of pool tables.

The upside-down picture of Bill Curry is still on the wall, though.

    Perhaps some Dale's sauce, too!

I appreciate all the good advice.

Another question: Does anyone know if there's a relatively inexpensive bus/shuttle running from the Birmingham Airport to Tuscaloosa?

Our group is arriving at several different times over Thursday/Friday, and while some of us are renting cars, we wanted to know if there were other reasonable options besides someone driving back to Birmingham to pick someone else up.

    Thanks.
