To me, it's the best job in the country. The same is true for the football program. For all their tough talk about championship-or-bust, those Texans are some loyal bitches.

Florida did what it meant to do: shut down a potent running attack.

FGCU was dismantled, its players gassed. Covering is for gamblers to sweat.

    Hey-zeus Christ.

So in the past few days/posts, you have typed:

    1) FGCU could be a "national powerhouse" in a few years (based on ONE postseason run after a fairly mediocre regular season by a team, albeit with a warm location near a beach, in a crappy conference, coach who may be on his way up the ladder and in an arena that will NOT wow recruits)

(Also on ND's list of up-and-comers: Florida Atlantic, Florida International, South Florida, Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Pepperdine, Hawaii and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi).

    2) Buzz Williams should leave Marquette because "it's warmer".

(What the hell are Tom Izzo, Jim Boeheim, Thad Matta, John Calipari and Rick Pitino thinking by staying at their schools with blizzard-filled winters?). All five men are morons with misplaced priorities, at least using ND's, umm, logic (and I use that word loosely).

I never said a beach was the only reason. For Gulf Coast, the style of play and girls will wow recruits. For Buzz, he's entering an unsure thing with the Catholic 7. It just makes sense for him to leave, especially now, when he for once didn't flame out early in tourney.

There are hot girls at every college campus, moron. Are you in eighth grade?

Gulf Coast was a fun story for the week and cool to watch and all that, but let's take a look at what they really did.

1.) A nice upset versus Georgetown, but the Hoyas are making a habit of losing these games.

2.) Beat a No. 7 in the second round, which even on the surface isn't that huge an upset, but even less so when you consider they beat a mid-major from a conference that gamed the RPI system and got way too many teams in the tourney, most of them over-seeded.

    3.) Got handled by Florida.

So yeah, that was cool and fun, but let's not act like the landscape of college basketball is shifting.

Not mention in Lexington, Lawrence, Chapel Hill and other hoops towns the gorgeous girls know who the walk-ons are and line up to get in bed with them, let alone star recruits.

I agree. When 13 of the Sweet 16 and seven of the Elite Eight come from major conferences, these parity arguments seem thin. The only reason a mid-major won last round was because it went up against another mid-major in a region where the No. 1 seed was a mid-major.

Of course, next year there will be an extra major conference, or will it be thought of as a mid-major?

Really? I've been to Lexington and Chapel Hill. Never saw these lines.

You got me. I have no career ambition anymore since I think Buzz is in a better place. Nice work.

Also, did I miss a memo? Is Texas open?

As for Alford, one of the national radio guys was all over that one and it was pretty funny. I'll save it for the proper thread, if I can muster the ambition.
