Jake, I really thought KU started losing that game with about 3 minutes to go in regulation. They went conservative on offense, started playing not to lose, made some silly turnovers and left the door open for Michigan's best player to heat up at the end. That said, if Elijah Johnson simply makes one free throw with 10 seconds left, Jayhawks probably hang on to win.

I wasn't watching, but rather listening on XM while coming back from a baseball game I was covering, but Fran Fraschilla (the color guy on the broadcast) agreed with you about not fouling. Too much time left on the clock. Burke just hit a crazy shot against good defense and you have to tip your hat to him.

Yeah, Johnson made several mistakes as Michigan made its comeback, this from a guy who may have been the most clutch player in the entire tournament last year. To be fair, he'd just made a pair of free throws the possession before he missed one, but honestly I'm not sure why Self had him out there handling the ball. Tharpe had been playing better all around as of late, was probably a better ball handler and shot 90 percent from the free throw line this season. Tharpe, McLemore and Releford should have been the ones handling the ball.

Kansas lost mainly because their best weapon in the first 24 minutes in McLemore took just one shot in the final 21.

Ohio State lost mainly because it didn't get the ball inside to Deshaun Thomas enough even as that remained its only reliable offense through the entire second half comeback.

    College teams play stupidly.

What looks worse so far ... Florida or Sager's Easter ensemble?

This has nothing to do with Florida. Michigan is at another level. They would be up double digits right now on any team in the country.

If Michigan plays Dook in the championship, I'll root for career ending injuries.

I dunno, this Michigan team is pretty damn fun to watch. They don't play typical B1G sludgeball.

For two days now, Kenny Smith has persisted in saying "pink elephant" when he means "red herring."

What is there not to like about this Michigan team?

Random tourney peeve: It's exhausting to watch a player touch hands with every teammate after every successful free throw.

Hey, you scored a point there. Congratulations. Move on.

They're Michigan. That's enough for me.
