Considering it's Kentucky, wonder if the Pens' arena was considered? Or is Pittsburgh not that good of a basketball town?

Saw La Salle live. They would kick Kentucky's ass. And Virginia's. And Maryland's. You're just another one of the mouthbreathers. POWER CONFERENCE!! MIDDLE TENNESSEE WOULD FINISH 13th in THE SEC!!

They still didn't have the resume to get in ahead of the Wahoos, as shown by the committee's mealy-mouthed explanation.

Robert Morris actually hosts an annual sportscards convention at their arena. So while the Wildcats are in town, maybe they can pick up a Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card or something.

People talking about the play-in games. I don't get it, either. It's a cop-out that lets the selection committee pass the buck on some tough calls. However, I love U of D Arena. The more hoops there, the better.

I think this was one of the better jobs the selection committee has done, overall. There were a couple of mid-majors in the tourney you could argue about, but those with the argument aren't the power conference schools. If you consider RPI to be a useful tool in measuring teams, those with the biggest gripe are other mid-majors.

Until such time as the BCS conference schools play non-BCS conference schools on the road on a regular basis, holding the former to a higher standard for nonconference schedule and for losses (especially home losses) is a rough but not unjust way of evaluating them. If UVa is pissed about Middle Tennessee getting in (I think Jay Bilas is preparing his Supreme Court brief this morning), there's a simple remedy. Call up their AD, schedule a home and home, and kick their asses twice.

Any resume that includes "Lost to Old Dominion" should not be considered for the NCAA Tournament.

As long as I've been watching the tournament, I've yet to see a bubble team that was excluded that actually would have affected the tournament's ability to crown a champion.

I also remember the big conferences bitching that undeserving George Mason got in in 2006. Sonner remembers how that went.

Exactly. Anyone upset that Virginia or Tennessee is outside looking in has lost the plot.
