I've always loved watching his teams play for this very reason. I'm just impressed that he gets that kind of effort, defensively, out of his teams game-in, game-out. It's really impressive to see in person, even moreso than on television. He should write a book on conditioning.

I hope Michigan blows Syracuse's doors off, because I can't stand to watch Syracuse play in the national title game. It'll make that UConn-Butler game look like the Showtime Lakers.

Many point to the 1982 ACC Championship game when North Carolina beat Virginia 47 -45 and used "Four Corners" for most of 2nd half as the game that forced the addition of shot clock.
Somehow Four Corners did not bother me because of the ball movement.

I put up links to what I think is the Top 5 (imho)

    Ware trumps them all.

    Easily.

First thing I thought of yesterday was the scene towards the end of "No Country for Old Men" where the guy breaks his arm and the bone pops out. "Mister.....that fucking bone."

That 47-45 UNC win over UVa was considered one of the final straws. But UVa had lost Othell Wilson to a deep bruise above his knee in the opening round of the ACC tourney against NC State. So the Hoos were playing very shorthanded and were content to shorten the game and let UNC run off long stretches of the clock.

Anyway, I am not sure the national audience realized how big a loss was Othell's injury to UVa, and many further don't realize it over 30 years later. (I'm not accusing anyone here at SportsJournalists.com).

Passes and movement should have a purpose. Pre or post shot clock, watching the Princeton offense was a thing of beauty, because all of those shuffles and cuts were setting up for an open shot. Now, so many teams hold the ball until 12 seconds to go on the clock for a drive and kick by the PG. That's why FGCU was so much fun -- not only did they run, but they moved pretty quickly if they were forced to go half court.

As to Louisville, they stopped transition first and foremost. It was like watching what the Phil Jackson coached Bulls do to the Sonics or Lakers do to the Nets.

I'm a huge Louisville fan. I missed the whole injury thing because I looked up and rolled my eyes after the Duke guy hit that 3. Next thing I know, players are all over the ground, I didn't even see Ware on the sideline. The Duke player looked like he had gotten hit.

Haven't seen the injury, don't want to.

Just awful, but what a way for Louisville to regroup. And they just shut down Curry and Kelly with their quickness. Even the walk-on Tim Henderson, was quicker than Curry.

Saw most of their games on TV this year, but until I saw them play when I covered the first two games in Lexington, I never realized just how fast this team is.

    I think a UL-Syracuse round 4 would be fun.

Ware is up and moving around on crutches. Absolutely amazing.

Amazing? He broke his leg. What the fuck did you think would happen?

I would think with that kind of break he'd be in traction for a while to hold the leg in place. When I was a kid, my dad suffered a bad compound fracture of his lower leg while skiing. He was in a hospital bed with his leg held up for two weeks and in a cast up to his hip for four months.

You don't think it's amazing that he's upright on crutches just 16 hours or so after such a horrific break?

Medical technology today is amazing. And that he's up on crutches so quickly is also amazing. I'll stand by that word.

He clearly didn't have Tyrone Prothro's doctor.

    And I agree with old_tony.

It's a miracle. Like Jesus rising from the ark.
