Really having trouble figuring out what to do with Georgetown. Would anyone be shocked to see them get beat my Florida Gulf Coast? G'town's offense is terrible. One of the ugliest halfcourt offensive teams in the country. And it seems like they always choke in the tournament.

If Starks isn't on fire from 3, Georgetown is in big, big trouble.

Then again, does anyone actually pick 15 seeds in their money brackets? Too big a risk, right?

Well, Florida Gulf Coast (the bank turned basketball team) has already beaten one of the other two seeds.

Pretty sweet view from the dorms, though.

All I know for sure about Florida Gulf Coast is that the coach's wife is going to get on TV a lot during the game.

I no longer blame any Miami players for being distracted during that game.

The thing about Virginia is that it had every opportunity to play its way in after beating Duke. Beat Florida State, Boston College, North Carolina State --- any of those three games --- and the Cavs are in. It's on them. That's why I don't get the bitching from Bilas.

ESPN has to create faux outrage over something every year at tournament time. An ACC team that beat the beloved Dookies is the perfect issue for Bilas.

No doubt about that. I was just using Virginia as an example of what's wrong with RPI and scheduling for it because I was familiar with the Cavs situation. When all you really needed was to beat one of Delaware, ODU, George Mason or Boston College to get in and you fail, that's ultimately on you.

I think I mentioned this upthread, but I want other opinions. I think this year, more than any other year, we could see a No. 16 beat a no. 1 because of the Southern-Gonzaga match-up. Am I on crack or not looking at this right? Southern is an athletic team that can run with the Zags, have the guards to match up with Pangos in Beltran and Miller, and have turned things around from a truly awful start to the season.

The Zags are going to pound it down low and should dominate the boards, but am I nuts to think Southern...typically SWAC play-in game fodder... has a legitimate shot?
