With about a minute left in the first half of Wichita St./Pitt, a player was called for a flagrant foul while driving to the lane and accidentally elbowing another player.

The color guy was going off on an absolute rant about the stupidity of the rule, to near-incoherence. Who was this guy?

Meanwhile, over on ESPN, Jay Bilas was on an absolute rant, presumably, about Wichita State's presence in this tournament to begin with.

This early basketball is definitely making me glad that I watch more NBA than college basketball these days.

St. Louis' Cody Ellis has a Mohawk-sized strip of hair dyed blue down the middle. Is that a tournament thing or does he always do that?

You're a pretty big advocate of worldliness and technology and breadth of knowledge. Why limit your scope to local teams so much, particularly when you clearly have no rooting interest in any of them and maintain total objectivity?

St. Mary's hangs around to make it a 2-point game with a 3 with 3.1 seconds to play then forces a TO on the inbounds, but Dellavedova misses a 3 at the buzzer as Memphis moves on.

I'm baffled they've been able to hold on to McKillop all these years.

Easily one of the top coaches in the country. Talked to him for a while one of the times Virginia Tech was looking. He likes it there, has found his niche. A rarity in that he wasn't looking to cash in because there have been times he could have picked his spot.
