After watching LaSalle play the other night, I told some KState friends that they would be in for a good game. I was wrong.

This is going to seem hollow because I don't have it in my bracket, but I knew K-State would have a hard time with LaSalle. I didn't pick it because of the play-in game. I wasn't sure LaSalle would be Boise, but knew if it did that was a tough matchup for K-State.

I think he ate young David Gilmour. And Syd Barrett too.

And since I've been cleaning my own horn, getting it ready for a toot or two... :)

    Hoosiers, you've been warned.

    And the pig.

And Dr. John from LaSalle looks like Denis Leary.

K-State's homework was spent on the anticipated matchup later in the bracket with Wisconsin.

Kenny Smith did a great job dressing these teams down.

This San Diego State-Oklahoma matchup becomes perplexing now. A team from what everyone said in January was a weak Big 12 versus a team from a conference that based on the first two days of the tourney is vastly overrated. Thanks to the selection committee, a really crappy team will get served up to Georgetown on Sunday.

I'd like to revise my statement of a few pages ago:

A drunk Larry Eustachy is a better coach than a sober Frank Haith.

    That is all.

I thought Kansas State was overrated for most of the season, but I expected better than that against LaSalle.

I'm sure it is nice for the fans who get to go to the game, but I'm not sure the committee did K-State any favors putting them in Kansas City, in the same town and same building as KU. Bill Self has had a second residence inside Bruce Weber's head for about a decade now and it's rubbed off on the players. Seeing KU players, coaches and fans everywhere they go isn't what they needed a week after the main storyline in the local media was "you may have tied Kansas for the regular season title, but the Jayhawks owned you."

K-State is far from done in this game.
