Charles Barkley just referred to Jeff Withey as "Whitey."

I have not laughed that hard in quite some time.

    The pass was spectacular, too.

He could have been reading a one-word scouting report.

With all those FGC dunks today, a stupid-assed 'whitey' reference was bound to eventually happen. It figures that it was a no-count, no-brains-for-college-tourney-analysis knucklehead like Barkley to bring it up.
It's funny to watch Kenny and Greg constantly dogging him out about not knowing hardly shit about the field of 68.

On another note, I am enjoying listening to Rex Chapman's analysis on truTV. Haven't seen him since his SEC playing days but he sounds down-to-earth and without the ego of some of these other heads we see.

Rex had a pretty decent and storied NBA career.

I'd have to google it but it doesn't register that much with me for some reason. The 80s were sort of a blur for me, though, in some respects.

BTW, check the brackets in our SportsJournalists.com group and note whose has Florida Gulf Coast over Georgetown.

I might be in 31st place, but I've got that going for me... which is nice.

That's part of the problem. Chapman played in the NBA in the 90s.

The amazing thing about FGCU (which sounds like one of those made-up colleges you see in movies or TV) is that they were in control almost the whole way. Most of these upsets, it's pretty close and few odd bounces of the ball makes the upset happen.

My creeping malaise actually lingered for parts of the early 90s, so there you go. I know he was very adept at Kentucky.

Hate to keep harping on this, but he played ALL of the 1990s. He didn't retire until 2000.
You been spending time up at the Ole Miss pot farm? :)

I remember him far more for his exploits at Kentucky than anything he did in the NBA.
