The way it's played out, they do have a good shot. I've watched a fair number of their games and they are tenacious and rebound well. That will keep them in any game, but for the most part they can't shoot worth a lick. That could catch up to them.

I'm a pretty staunch Pitino fan. I love a well-dressed Italian. This Duke team isn't built to go all the way. I haven't seen MSU enough, but if they're the typical Izzo team, I just don't see it. Had too many friends who aren't Louisville fans saying this looks like a title team.

I'm really shocked that I haven't heard Enfield's name associated with coaching searches anywhere at all. Normally, everytime a mid-major does something their name is associated with bigger jobs.

A job comes open that Enfield would be absolutely perfect for (UCLA) and the Bruins are more interested in Shaka Smart. Umm, what?

Yep, good call. Hand it to a guy with two NCAA tournament wins over a guy who has proven he can win, year-in and year-out, with a style of play that draws fans and drives opponents crazy.

I'm a big fan of the Payne/Harris duo as legit guys who can carry MSU far, along with the Izzo factor. The big issue for them is that Appling tends to disappear at times, and that would be really bad against a pressing team like Louisville. I think they beat Duke, and can beat Louisville, but a lot will rest on Appling.

Louisville's issue is that Siva/Smith can be really good, and can also make horrendous decisions, especially in tight games.

Just saw them at the Lexington games and they are playing amazing right now. I just don't see how they get beat the rest of the way. Crazy things happen in one-and-dones, but that is a hell of a team.

All that dunking he lets his team do is exciting. Compare that to VCU's boring offensive style. Now give Enfield 5-star recruits to run his offense with, and Pauley Pavilion will be packed every night.

It will be interesting to see when Enfield winds up. Part of the reason you're not hearing much about him is that there are so few high-profile openings. I assume that will change, but it's seemed pretty quiet this year. USC, UCLA, Northwestern...

I could see USC taking a shot on Enfield.

After last season's beatdown in the Sweet 16, I couldn't get myself to take Michigan State to beat Louisville. I wish... but no.

Still sticking with Florida as my champ, although in this season of parity and with a single-elimination format, who knows?

I wonder how many geniuses had Florida Gulf Coast making the Sweet 16?

Whats so great about the UCLA job? Stevens, Smart or any other young mid-major, but perennial NCAA tourney contender, is going to get paid and barring scandal will remain at their present job for as long as they like. They may get more per year at UCLA but they'll remain employed longer at their current positions. They know their recruiting base and their base knows them. If a B1G job opens Stevens is good for that since its his area and Smart is a good fit for an ACC opening, VaTech in 2 years, and that might be a step down? or UVa.

Once at UCLA they've not only have to develop a new recruiting system but they have to compete for better talent against more established coaches with established bases.

What does UCLA have to offer? John Wooden? For players today, the Showtime Lakers are ancient history. Wooden is like Napoleon. You've heard of him but really don't know much about him.

I wonder if he leaves though. I doubt his supermodel wife wants to leave the coast, he now has a program that will forever be unstoppable in the A-Sun, and I could see FGCU aligning into a power six conference sometime soon when the time comes.
Combine that with his $100 million and the fact that he will be seen as a traitor if he leaves, and I don't know that he bites the bullet.

That being said, there's no excuse for UCLA not to try hard. And if they work to get Amanda modeling gigs in LA, it could be the type of location that entices both to leave.
