If I was putting folding money down, I'd say the Atlantic Sun won't be around in five years.

So those are all fair points even though I thought FGCU's enrollment was in the 14,000 range.

I've just noticed a tendency in the last few years that when a low to mid major has a really strong tourney run, or consistently make the tourney, they seem to stay at that level..

The exposure they get from a tourney run gets them recruits they normally couldn't have gotten before and they get better holiday tournament invites, which makes the school that much more appealing to recruits.

You can pencil FGCU into the San Juan Shootout now if you wanted, unless they go to Alaska or Hawaii or someplace else. A coach can sell a trip like that.

Ha. That's absurdly false. Cal could go five years without an NCAA appearance and keep his job based on the number of kids he gets to the NBA.

Michigan State looks better than anybody to me. And I'd say Indiana is lucky to be there. Has Temple been to the foul line yet? Some awful calls in that one.

By the way, did I miss it or did Rex Chapman eat Tony Gwynn?

In what world are you living? You're talking about a fanbase that ran off one of the most successful coaches that school has ever had.

If Kentucky has a stretch like that, Cal would be out in a heartbeat.

Better yet: IJAG summed it up perfectly.

Plus, if he misses the tournament five years in a row, he ain't getting NBA kids.

Gillespie would still be in Lexington if we played by ND's rules.

The only way Kentucky misses the tourney for five years is through NCAA probation.

    So . . . maybe.

Some of his dumbest work. Ever. And that isn't intentional trolling. Not at all. I'm just hopeful that Dull will find some of that maturity and challenge me to a boxing match or MMA fight or leg wrestling or whatever he does.

Mushnick over at NY Post doesn't like FCGU, or Ole Miss's Marshall Henderson.

Personally, with Henderson I don't know what there is not to like. I get he had the legal problems, but there are certainly other players who had that that the public seemed to tolerate.

But Marshall's a guy clearly having fun, speaking his mind and performing (until his team got eliminated) at a high level. I enjoyed watching him play. And media should love him, because he'll give you a gold mine of good quotes.
