I think it is an interesting/helpful site, I was just pointing out that some of the brackets are beyond ridiculous.

No one here knows exactly what offers Nevada has to play big-conference teams. And, more importantly, it's relevant to this conversation. Nevada's resume stinks and it should be judged by that resume -- not what could have been. It's the only top 50 team without a win against another top 50 team.

Air Force has 2. Butler has 4. Xavier has 3. Old Dominion has 4. Drexel has 3.

    Nevada has 0.

    It doesn't deserve a 4 seed.

Jag, I'm with you. Nevada's profile is that of a No. 7 seed. And I think that's where they'll land, somewhere in 6-7 land. Echoing Roy Williams' comments on Carolina, the committee doesn't give a shit about rankings. It's a total non-factor. Nevada is ranked that high because they have a pretty record and pretty records get rewarded late in the year.

Now that Winthrop is ranked, if anyone calls them a Cinderella, I'll call them a queef nugget.

A lot of bubble teams cursing out Wright State and rooting on Butler at the moment.

Being ranked is the worst thing that could happen to Winthrop. Because there's now absolutely no way it sneaks up on anyone. Eagles will get a shitty seed, run into a good team that realizes how good they are, and be toast before Thursday/Friday is over.

Winthrop wasn't going to sneak up on anyone, anyway. They should have beaten Tennessee last year in a 2-15 game. I'm sure people took note of that.

Winthrop has been in the top third of the nation for about five years now but they will still be a 12 or 13 ... and there will be one very perturbed 5-6 seed.

Butler's loss means either ODU or Drexel is going NITing. I'm guessing Drexel, but who knows?

As far as the big confences go, the "opening game of the season" out of ALL the conference tourneys has got to be Alabama vs. Kentucky in Atlanta tommorrow.
No other game that I've seen compares to this. It's important for both teams, though I actually think even with a close loss to the UKats, Alabama would be invited to the NCAAs.
Should be an epic hardwood clash.
And tout Wisconsin all you want, but I don't think they will live up to potential No. 1-seed status.
Give the top seeds to Fla, UCLA, NC, and Ohio State
    Strengthwise, that's who deserves them.
